Bati LeGani - the Goal of Creation

Yud Shevat, 10 Shevat, Tenth Shevat | 8 January 2019

On 10 Shevat (28 January) 1950 Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Schneersohn, the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, passed away.  He left a discourse, Bati Legani, ‘I have come into My Garden’, to be studied on that day.  His son-in-law and successor Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, made this discourse the central teaching of Chabad-Lubavitch.  Each year on 10th Shevat he would present a Bati Legani discourse. This one is from 1979. In this first section the purpose of Creation is discussed.
