The Rebbe taught this Maamar (discourse) in 1968, on Shabbat Parsha Va-etchanan, following the Fast of the Ninth of Av. The Haftorah begins with the words 'be comforted, be comforted, My people'. The Maamar discusses the double expression, and reveals many 'doubles' in Jewish thought.
