Moses and the Patriarchs Before Him

Vaera | Exodus Shemos | 28 December 2021

This discourse was taught by the Rebbe early in 1965, on Shabbat of Sedra Vaera. This Sedra tells how G-d appeared to the Patriarchs with His Name Sha-dai, and yet He will be revealed in a higher way to Moses, with the Tetragrammaton. Before beginning the discourse there is a short talk on the nature of the Chassidic discourses taught by Rabbi Shneur Zalman (d.1812) and his successors, the leaders of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement through the generations.
