Yud Shevat 5729

3 February 2009

The Alef Kabbala Group (3 February 09) explored a discourse by the Lubavitcher Rebbe for Yud Shevat (10 Shevat, the Yahrzeit of his predecessor and father-in-law Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak) taught in 1969. This discusses the final discourse of Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak, Bati LeGani, which presents a global view of the task of the individual in the world: to create a dwelling for the Divine Presence. This is achieved by discovering the light which comes from the darkness, the product of the inner struggle of the individual within his or her own being. The determination (Netzach) expressed in this battle reaches the Essence of the Divine.
