Trapped? Not Trapped!

The paradox that Pharaoh, the oppressor, was himself trapped by his own inability to respond to G-d. The insight is that the hardening of Pharaoh's heart illustrates how pride and ego can trap a person as surely as any external prison, while the Jewish people found freedom by opening themselves to divine guidance.
