This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Vayechi, 5725 (1965). At the end of his life, Jacob called his sons to tell them 'what will happen at the end of days', but the Shechina departed and he said the blessings instead. The discourse explores the word agidah 'I will tell' through the Tzemach Tzedek's analysis of three Hebrew words for verbal communication, explaining that 'haggadah' means to draw a flow of wisdom from its deepest source.
