Go To Yourself

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Sedra Lech Lecha (Diaspora), 5725 (1965). The Divine command 'Lech Lecha' is interpreted by Rashi as 'go for your own benefit', but the Tzemach Tzedek, quoting Rabbi Moshe Alsheich, explains it as 'go to yourself', meaning Abraham must connect with the source of his own soul. The discourse reveals how this inward journey to one's own deepest self is the model for every Jew's spiritual path.
