Kumi Ori Light Beyond Light

Ki Tavo | Deuteronomy, Devorim | 5733

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Sedra Ki Tavo, 18 Elul, 5733 (1973). The Haftorah begins 'Arise, give light, because your light has dawned', describing two kinds of radiance: the light that already belongs to Israel and the further light they must radiate outward. The discourse reveals that the light the Jewish people receive is itself the impetus to generate a higher light, creating an ascending spiral of illumination that reaches beyond ordinary spiritual boundaries.
