From Pesach To The Future

Shemini | Leviticus | 5718

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Shemini, 5718 (1958). The verse 'As the days of your going out of Egypt I will show you wonders' is explored through a Midrash which states that future wonders will be greater than those at the Exodus. The discourse explains that the Exodus, taking place in haste from above, did not transform the Jewish people themselves, while the future Redemption will transform both the people and the world so that they can absorb and be permanently changed by divine revelation.
